The Ford Focus S is the only trim that offers just a sedan option. This model is the base level trim, so it includes standard features and components. The 2018 Focus S includes:
- A 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 160 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque
- Cloth front bucket seats
- 4-speaker sound system with voice-activated SYNC® system and an AM/FM radio with MP3 compatibility
2018 Ford Focus SE
The 2018 Ford Focus SE offers both sedan and hatchback body styles. This trim includes a different engine that will appeal to driver who values efficiency over performance. The SE offers the same entertainment and seating options as the S trim but adds a few unique variations to the performance and offered space. The SE features:
- A 1.0L 4-cylinder EcoBoost® engine that delivers 123 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque while achieving an EPA-estimated 30/40/34 MPG city/highway/combined
- Sedan trunk space: 13.2 cubic feet
- Hatchback cargo space: 23.3 cubic feet behind rear seats/43.9 cubic feet when rear seats are folded
Ford Focus SEL
The Ford Focus SEL sedan and hatch each come with the same 2.0L 4-cylinder engine included with the base level S trim. However, despite featuring the same engine, this trim shows a major update to the equipped entertainment and technology. The Focus SEL adds:
- A power moonroof
- 8-inch SYNC® 3 screen with HD Radio™ and six months of SiriusXM® Satellite Radio
- A 10-speaker Sony® Premium Sound System
2018 Focus Titanium
The Titanium trim also includes the base level 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. This trim even includes the updated features that are included with the Ford Focus SEL trim; however, it shows an update to the seating materials and the comfort. The Titanium trim includes:
- Leather-trimmed front bucket seats
- 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat
- Heated front seats

Ford Focus ST
The 2018 Ford Focus ST is the first performance-based hatchback trim in the Focus lineup. It includes a turbocharged engine that takes the performance further than any trim previously listed. The ST also adds its own specific style to the vehicle's interior but includes some of the more basic entertainment and technology with the option to upgrade. The ST includes:
- 2.0L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder engine that delivers 252 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque
- Unique leather flat bottom steering wheel with ST badging
- Unique panel finish and optional RECARO® leather seating
Ford Focus Electric Hatch
The Focus Electric Hatch is a hatchback-only model with an electric engine that has the highest efficiency of all the Focus trims. While this vehicle includes a unique engine, it also adds to the impressive features and technology. This hatchback features:
- A 107-kW electric motor that delivers 143 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, has a range of 115 miles, and achieves an EPA-estimated 118 city/96 highway/107 combined MPGe
- Eco-conscious heated cloth seats.
- SYNC® 3, HD Radio™, the Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link®, and a 9-speaker Sony® sound system
Ford Focus RS
The RS trim, much like the ST trim, is a performance-based hatchback. This trim takes the performance further than the ST trim, but it also includes more updated features, technology, and even trim-specific designs and materials. This trim includes:
- A 2.3L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder that delivers 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque
- Unique RS Scuff Plates, RS leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and RECARO® full leather with Miko®-Dinamica inserts with the RS logo
- 10-speaker Sony® sound system, HD Radio™, six months of SiriusXM®, and the SYNC® 3 screen
