Comprehending Your Maintenance Schedule

Understanding your Ford Edge maintenance schedule is pretty simple. This schedule comprises a list of specific mileage intervals and feature a few listed services that you'll need to have performed when you reach that mileage or add those miles to your odometer. It's important to remember that a lot of these services need to get repeated. Luckily, these various services tend to line up on occasion, making your trips to our service center convenient.

Now that you know how your Edge maintenance schedule is organized, you'll be ready to start learning about the different services and inspections that are going to help keep your Ford SUV on the road.

Ford Edge Scheduled Maintenance by Mileage

  • 10,000 Miles: During your first service interval, you'll need to have a thorough inspection of your cooling system, exhaust system, brake system (pads, shoes, rotors, lines, and parking brake), and your suspension joints. This service interval also includes a tire rotation and an oil and oil filter change.
  • 20,000 Miles: At 20,000 miles, you'll have most of the previously listed services and inspections performed. However, this interval adds a cabin air filter replacement to the list.
  • 30,000 Miles: On top of the repeated services, you'll need to have your engine air filter replaced at 30,000 miles.
  • 100,000 Miles: While this may seem like a considerable jump in miles, everything between 30,000 miles and 100,000 miles is repeated services and inspections. You'll need to have these services performed again; however, you'll add some crucial items to the list, such as a platinum spark plug replacement. You'll also need to have your orange coolant changed and your accessory drive belt(s) inspected.
  • 150,000 Miles: Congratulations, you made it to 150,000 miles! This service interval is significant because it encompasses almost all the services that you have had performed over the years and miles. This mileage interval adds some crucial services, including a transmission fluid change. You'll also have your accessory drive belt(s) replaced if you haven't already.
