• 2.5L Hybrid with an eCVT
• 2.5L Plug-in Hybrid with an eCVT
• 1.5L EcoBoost® with an 8-speed Automatic Transmission
• 2.0L EcoBoost® with an 8-speed Automatic Transmission with SelectShift®

For traction on slippery surfaces, you can select either the Front-Wheel Drive or the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. To further improve your stability and traction with various road conditions, the Escape can be equipped with selectable drive modes, which include Eco, Sport, Normal, Slippery, and Deep Snow/Sand.

Safety in the 2020 Ford Escape

As with every model in their diverse lineup, Ford has armed the Escape with advanced driver-assistance systems. With these intuitive safety features, you can feel confident and assured no matter where you're travelling.

It all centers around the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology, a suite of forward-thinking safety systems. It includes:

• BLIS® with Cross Traffic Alert: By using a radar, this system will alert you of any detected vehicles in your blind spot zones.
• Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking: In order to avoid a frontal collision, this system will monitor the road and warn you via audible alerts if it believes a collision is likely.  
• Auto High-Beam Headlamps: When it senses poor lighting, this feature will switch on to brighten the road ahead.
• Lane-Keeping System: To help you stay in your lane, this system will monitor your vehicle's position on the highway and alert you if you start drifting from the lane.

Additionally, you can opt for the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Assist+ package, which comes with Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, Evasive Steering Assist, and a Voice-Activated Navigation System.
