2018 Ford F-150: Engine Power & Options
Drivers will love the variety of power that the 2018 Ford F-150 offers with its numerous engine options. The new 3.3L V6, replacing the 3.5L V6, can produce 290 horsepower, while the 2.7L EcoBoost® boosts the abilities up to 325 horsepower. The 5.0L V8 brings 395 horsepower to the mix.
Drivers who are looking for a lot of pull to handle a hefty load will certainly enjoy the 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 and its ability to reach 375 horsepower while producing 470 lb-ft of torque. The high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® provides the most power with 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, which comes standard with the F-150 Raptor. Drivers will also enjoy the new 10-speed automatic transmission, which provides additional gear ratios as well as numerous drive modes that allow you to distribute power and torque where you see fit.Â

When it comes to towing, there's no more trusted name than Ford. The 2017 Ford F-150 had incredible abilities of towing 12,000 pounds with its 3.5L EcoBoost® engine. However, the 2018 Ford F-150 is a whole other story, even surpassing the abilities of last year's model. While the official data hasn't been released yet, Ford promises a tougher F-150 than last years, which only excites us more. We can't wait to see what this truck can do.
One huge addition is the Dynamic Hitch Assist, which is now a standard feature. This feature uses a camera mounted from the point of view of your hitch. You can effectively attach a trailer without a friend signaling you to back up.
