If you're looking for a Ford truck that offers you more towing capacity and power than the Ford F-150 but still retains what makes Ford great, the Ford Super Duty trucks might be for you. Two of those trucks are the Ford F-250 and Ford F-350.
Richmond Ford West has put together this comparison to show you some of what the F-250 and the F-350 have to offer. We hope that our neighbors from the Glen Allen, Ashland, and Rockville, Virginia, areas find this comparison helpful!
The Power Behind the F-250 and F-350
The F-250 and F-350 have three engines to choose from-two gas engines and one diesel engine.
The standard gas engine for both trucks is the 6.2L V8 engine with 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. With the F-250 model, this engine works with a standard TorqShift® G 6-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission.
The F-350, however, has a standard TorqShift® 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission across all three engine options. This transmission also comes with a few selectable drive modes like:
- Tow/Haul
- Normal
- Eco
- Slippery
- Deep Sand/Snow
If you opt for the F-250, you get this transmission when choosing the 7.3L V8 or the available 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engines.
The other gas engine available for the F-250 and F-350 is the 7.3L V8 that provides 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.
The 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel engine gives you a whopping 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque for the most power you can get.
